Cheese, Chocolate and Strawberry Danish

Cream cheese spread combines superbly with chocolate hazelnut spread in these delicious, easy to prepare, pastries.

  • 8 Pieces Puff Pastry Squares, 10 x 10, frozen
  • 1 Egg, Beaten
  • 3 Tablespoons Caster Sugar
  • 1 Cup PUCK White Cream Cheese Spread
  • 1/2 Cup Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
  • 8 Habbat Strawberries, Quartered

Preheat oven to 220 °C. Lay the pastry squares on baking trays. Prick the pastry with a fork leaving a 1.5 cm border. Run the tip of a sharp knife around the border, taking care not to cut through the pastry. Brush the border with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden and puffy. Remove from oven and cool.

Carefully push the centre in, leaving the base and border intact. Fill the centre with cream cheese spread, top with chocolate spread and strawberries.
