Cheese Mantou Rolls

Puck cheese spread is the best ingredient to prepare these crispy Mantou Rolls appetizers.

  • 2 Tbsp. Puck cream cheese
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Piece egg
  • 1 Cup Warm water
  • 1 Kg Minced meat
  • 1 Piece Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Piece Green bell pepper
  • 1 Cube Chicken stock
  • 1 Tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 Tsp Ground black pepper

Put the flour in a large bowl and then add the salt and egg to it

Pour in the warm water gradually and start mixing until you get a smooth, non-sticky dough

Cut the dough into small equal balls

Place the dough balls in a bowl, cover it with a towel or nylon wrap and let it rest in a warm place for an hour

To prepare the filling, mix the minced meat in a large bowl with the onion, bell pepper, chicken stock and a little water

Sprinkle the meat mixture with the cumin and black pepper. Mix to combine and then cover the bowl and leave it aside

Roll the dough balls on a floured surface in the shape of a small circle

Put a teaspoon of the filling in the centre of each dough circle and then fold the edges to close it firmly to shape a roll

Preheat the oven on 180 degrees

Grease an oven pan with butter and place the mantou rolls next to each other

Mix the ingredients of the sauce and pour it on the mantou rolls

Bake the mantou rolls in the middle rack of the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot
